Open days at Loughborough University
Loughborough University is known for its community spirit and academic excellence in teaching and research. The university was recently awarded triple gold in the Teaching Excellent Framework (TEF) and has been awarded seven Queen's Anniversary Prizes along the way.
Subjects it is particularly well-known for include sports science, art and design, marketing, communication and media studies and biomedical sciences, among others. It hosts one of the UK's largest annual careers fairs with more than 260 exhibitors, along with hundreds of other employer events, boosting employability prospects.
Facilities
Loughborough offers students a wide variety of academic and leisure facilities including sports resources like an indoor athletics centre, outdoor stadium, sports hall, all weather pitches, and state of the art gym.
The four storey Pilkington library opens 24/7 during revision and exam periods and there's a language centre dedicated to helping students develop the skills to communicate in a chosen language and become familiar with the cultural context that underpins it.

Where is it located?
Loughborough's main location is a single site campus in the heart of the Midlands near the cities of Nottingham and Leicester. It is about a 20-minute bus ride from Loughborough train station. You can also get there by car, but onsite parking is limited. There is a free shuttle bus service once on campus to get you from a to b quickly.
Loughborough is a historic market town with a friendly feel, beautiful surroundings, and an affordable student experience.
Loughborough University also has a campus in London situated in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in a dynamic and vibrant new community on the eastern side of London. It is easy to get to by train, tube or bus.
