Nightlife and culture

Bath is bursting with historic architecture. It is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list twice: for its historic architecture and as one of the Great Spas of Europe.
Steeped in history, the Roman Baths are its main attraction. The Thermae Bath Spa is a modern complex where visitors can bathe in the naturally warmed spa water.
Bath has a bustling nightlife with lots of restaurants and pubs, bars, and a good standard of live entertainment. The city also has cinemas and theatres.
A year-round calendar of events includes the Bath Festival (a ten-day multi-arts event) and the award-winning Bath Christmas market.
Bath Rugby Club hosts Premiership Rugby Union games throughout the season.

Getting around

ON-SITE BIKE PARKING

Bath is a compact city. Many of its facilities and attractions are found within its easily walkable centre.
Students can travel between the campus and the city by foot, bike, e-scooter, car, or bus.
Buses run 24/7 from campus to the city during term time. The journey takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
The train from Bath railway station takes 15 minutes to Bristol and 80 minutes to London.
Bristol Airport is the nearest airport. A regular 55-minute bus service connects the airport to Bath.
