This is the guide’s protocol for managing changes to the league tables after publication. It is intended for cases where the data used are incorrect.
- Universities are asked to:
- make sure their HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) data returns are correct and complete;
- adhere to deadlines for responses within the JISC preview period before data are released to us;
- respond to our data consultations accurately and adhere to any deadline dates in data-checking emails sent by us.
- If possible, we want all changes notified at the JISC preview stage or in our consultations, with contact details for a named individual
- Universities must liaise with Complete University 51ÊÓƵ regarding Complete University 51ÊÓƵ matters, and liaise with JISC regarding HESA data matters
- Universities shouldn't be concerned with other universities, only their own data
- We'll allow a window of five working days after publication in which to report any data corrections
- Any changes reported after our five-day deadline will be rolled over to the next edition
- If the error is ours, we'll endeavour to publish the correction as soon as possible
- We'll publish all other corrections in a single batch three weeks after the first publication and will put a notice on the website stating which tables have been updated and when.
- We'll notify affected institutions prior to publishing the corrections by contacting administrators in communications departments and planning departments
- If you have any questions, please email Corinna Gough, University Liaison and Research Manager.
