New independent research highlights the 鈥渉idden gem鈥� universities in the West Midlands

As thousands of students and families prepare for UCAS application deadlines just after Christmas, new independent research released today (Wednesday, 14th December) reveals universities making up 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� across the country - including here in the West Midlands.
The team behind the renowned Complete University 51视频 have crunched the data to shine a light on some of the universities blazing a trail in the West Midlands, including those ranked as the the best in the UK in some subjects. The message could not be clearer - 鈥測ou don鈥檛 have to go far to go far!鈥�.
With the cost-of-living putting increasing pressure on students and families, the new 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� data highlights some excellent subjects in the West Midlands and across the UK that they might not have considered.
The 鈥渁reas of excellence鈥� data for the West Midlands reveals:
- Keele University ranking in the top 10% to study Medical Technology and Bioengineering.
- Staffordshire University ranking in the top 10% for Tourism, Transport, Travel & Heritage Studies (9%) and in the top 5% for Childhood & Youth Studies (4%).
- Coventry ranking highly for Food Science.
- Worcester leading the region when it comes to studying Counselling, Psychotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
- Coventry sitting comfortably within the top 10% for Food Science.
