The Foundation Degree in Scenic Construction is a two-year programme which starts in August each year. The programme has been developed in response to the acute shortage of suitably qualified entry-level technicians to build sets for the rapidly expanding Theatre, Film and Television industries in Wales and beyond.Key Features:- Technical Skills - taught skills in carpentry, metalwork, welding, fork lift truck driving, core computer software packages & access equipment training- Industry Practice - develop an insight into the theatre & television industry- Professional Placements - five placements across the two years, either at RWCMD’s workshop & theatres or with industry partners- Industry Partners - Bay Productions, Cardiff Theatrical Services, Bad Wolf (4Wood) & Wild Creations- Top up Degree - the option to top up to BA (Hons) Design for Performance.
