Find out why Hamza chose to study at SOAS University of London after not getting the grades that he had expected. 

Why did you go through Clearing?

Hi, I'm Hamza and I'm completing my BA in International relations and History. I got my place at SOAS through UCAS Clearing. When I took my A levels I didn't do as well as I had expected, and I didn't get the grades I needed for my firm choice university. I wasn't too keen on going to my insurance university, so I decided to enter Clearing.

How did you choose SOAS?

I was anxious about Clearing but I found myself curious about SOAS. Before Clearing I had never really considered SOAS because it's based in London and I was quite scared of moving to a big city. However, I did some research into SOAS, I looked at the course and the module list and felt that it was where I would enjoy my course the most.

How did you find Clearing?

I called up the SOAS Clearing hotline and they provided all the support I needed. The Clearing process is easy, SOAS confirmed my place on the course, all I had to do was decline my existing insurance offer and refer myself to SOAS on my UCAS application.

I've been at SOAS now for four years and I'm graduating this summer, I'm so proud of my university journey and it all kicked off with Clearing.
