Who comes out on top in the East of England? 

2025 sees the University of Cambridge retain its crown, with UEA and Essex keeping their second and third spots. Suffolk goes up one place to fourth while Norwich University of the Arts slips one to fifth.

There鈥檚 no change to the rest of this regional table with all the other universities maintaining their positions from last year.

University cities and towns in the East of England 

Cambridge is one of the main cities in the region and the University of Cambridge is one of the most famous institutions in the world. Occupying pole position in the regional table, the University of Cambridge usually takes first or second place in the university league tables for the UK. Aside from punting on the river, Cambridge also offers museums, pubs, and a music festival.  

Norwich is home to two universities including UEA. It鈥檚 a popular place to live as there鈥檚 lots going on in the city and it鈥檚 a short drive to the Norfolk countryside and coast.
