Course summary
During your Sports Coaching & Development Foundation Entry Year youll study alongside peers from related courses, whilst gaining a broad introduction to sports leadership. Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if youve got the ability to study for a degree, but dont have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honours programme. Its a great stepping stone to degree study. Well equip you with a broad range of skills and knowledge, built from an interdisciplinary approach. Throughout the whole degree programme we will ensure you have a good understanding of the sports coaching and development sector. Youll be introduced to the key concepts and components of the profession and encouraged to build your own networks to establish yourself as a developing professional. Your Sports Coaching and Development Foundation Entry Degree can lead to careers in sports coaching and development, teaching and lecturing. You could also pursue a career in health and social work, fitness training, community coaching, sports performance analysis and research.
