Course summary
The Integrated Foundation year programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to practically prepare students for the transition into undergraduate study at Central Film School.
This course introduces you to the fundamentals of filmmaking and screenwriting practice. It will help the development of your creative, critical and craft skills in preparation for progression to the BA programme at Central Film School and further study of the contemporary film & television industry.
Programme Overview
A focus on the fundamental skills needed for the pre-production, production, and post-production of a film, and the theory and practice that underpins the skill sets of professional filmmakers and writers.​
- Foundation Year followed by two-year accelerated degree
- Taught by working industry professionals, including script development executives from the British Film Institute, the Script Factory, BBC and a range of production companies.
- Professional actors will stage much of the students work.
- High proportion of scheduled contact hours provides new writers with substantial one-to-one development time
- Access equipment and facilities outside of class time
