Study Post-14 Education and Training at University Centre Leeds

Take the next steps towards teaching. Study current education and training practices, develop your teaching skills and pursue a general qualification or specialise in English, mathematics or SEN.

This course provides a theoretical and practical understanding of how to influence teaching, learning and assessment across multiple contexts in the post-14 sector. Its available as a full-time or part-time route. The part-time route is for those in-service, anyone employed as teachers of post-14 learners.

The full-time route is for those pre-service those who are not yet employed as teachers.

You will cover various learning and pedagogical models, applying them to your own personal context. Our modules cover multiple aspects of the post-14 sector ranging from the psychology of teaching to designing a curriculum that is inclusive of all learners. Youll also research and recommend practices that you can enact in your own classrooms.

Shape your studies around your preference you can pursue a general teaching qualification or can study specialist pathways in English, maths or special educational needs (SEN).
