Course summary
Primary care is central to the health and well-being of individuals and communities, providing the majority of preventive, treatment and rehabilitation services. You will learn about the latest theory and practice influencing primary care provision and critically evaluate approaches to developing and delivering effective services to enhance your role as a general practice nurse (GPN).
A mix of core and elective modules will allow you to build essential professional knowledge, underpinned by a robust evidence baser to support your developing role as a general practice nurse (GPN).
The programme is focused on clinical practice, with a strong emphasis on analysing and interpreting theory and research and applying evidence to the general practice setting. The flexible modular structure means that you can study to undergraduate, postgraduate diploma or masters level.
Who is this course for?
If you are a registered nurse working in general practice this programme will enable you to develop your professional skills supported by the latest research and evidence-based practice.
