Course summary
Pharmacology is the study of how drugs can affect the body - whether to treat disorders or change bodily functions. It brings together: physiology biochemistry molecular biology You will study: the effects of drugs on molecules, cells and tissues in the body side effects the factors that affect drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination Research in pharmacology aims to better understand drug action and to produce new drugs that improve patient care.
