Course summary
With a growing recognition of sustainability as a core business practice, theres no better time to study a management degree with sustainability at its heart.
Open to graduates and professionals with a degree in any subject. This course will help you to develop the relevant skills and competences linked to sustainability practices and processes that help organisations design and implement strategies for sustainable development.
Youll gain a thorough introduction to management practices by exploring organisational strategy, which will give you key insights into various areas of business, management and leadership, and logistics and supply chain practices for sustainable operations. Youll explore more specialist topics such as the circular economy and social, ethics and environmental enterprise where youll build your sustainability skills and competences. During the course youll also undertake a sustainability research project working with a real client on an assigned sustainability-related brief.

Our teaching staff are experts in their fields, conducting innovative research that informs their teaching, providing a stimulating and up-to-date learning experience.
Youll also have an opportunity to engage with our award-winning Staff and Student Sustainability Group that runs an annual Summer Sustainability Festival. Extracurricular actives and the Rise programme also provide you with plenty of opportunities for your personal and professional development.
Apply now to start your journey towards becoming a future sustainable leader in your field.
Career prospects
Our course is dedicated to Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability (ERS) related issues, which offers career pathways into a range of new ERS employment routes. This includes corporate, SMEs, government, community, think-tank and policy roles. The sustainability focus of the course means you can show employers that you are a forward-thinking candidate who can contribute readily to an organisations sustainability strategy.
If you havent studied a business or management related subject at undergraduate level, the combination of your first degree with postgraduate management study makes you a powerful candidate to employers. If you have studied a related subject before having this degree enhances your employability by broadening your skills, knowledge and experience.
You may also be interested in exploring your research project further, or a different sustainability challenge that organisations are facing, with additional study such as a PhD.
