Your studies will cater to a range of interests and career destinations, including modules that relate to:

  • contaminated and urban environments
  • the implications of, and solutions to, environmental change
  • issues affecting the management of agricultural and rural environments.

Careers

After completing our MSc Environmental Management course, you will be ideally placed to work in:

  • government agencies, such as the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, the Environment Agency, or overseas equivalents
  • environmental consultancies
  • waste management companies
  • water companies
  • agricultural consultancies
  • firms with in-house roles covering sustainability and implementing environmental law.

This course will also equip you with the skills and knowledge for further study in a related subject. Previous University of Reading graduates have gone on to funded PhD projects.
