Course summary
Overview
Our postgraduate degree in English Language Teaching and Management offers advanced training and professional qualifications for individuals who either work in or plan to work in any areas of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). The course is ideal for current and prospective English language teachers who see themselves as potential managers of language teaching departments or schools. You will graduate with the theoretical, practical and research-based knowledge and skills to be a confident, critically reflective, and enterprising teacher.
This Master’s degree is among the few of its kind in the UK. It equips you with essential knowledge and skills for teaching English as a second or foreign language, while also developing your management skills for multicultural work environments. You will receive a thorough grounding in applied linguistics and teaching methodology through TESOL modules from the Faculty of Social Sciences, alongside a solid understanding of management principles via the modules offered by our internationally renowned University of Stirling Management School. The course includes opportunities for practical application in micro-teaching sessions and offers various modules tailored to your experience and background.
