About this course
Study French, German or Spanish and societies and cultures where they're spoken on this Masters in Languages degree. Start at undergraduate level and earn a master’s in 4 years.
Spend a year of this 4 year degree abroad studying on a placement at a university in the French, German or Spanish speaking world. Develop your language skills while learning about another country's culture, history and thought.
Whichever language you choose, you'll:
- become immersed in the language and familiar with how it is spoken
- develop your critical thinking and gain skills you need to interpret cultures
- study a society or cultures where your chosen language is spoken
- write a dissertation on an topic that you are interested in
Choose topics and gain expertise in areas that interest you most, including:
- translation and interpreting
- contemporary society
- literature and film
- ethnography
- politics.
