Turn your passion for food, nutrition and health into a career. Learn how food impacts on our wellbeing and health and explore the links between nutrition and public health. Gain an in-depth understanding of the relationship between food, diet and nutrition.

Discover how food impacts on wellbeing and health, exploring the links between nutrition and public health including:- The nutritional function of foods.- How nutrients work in the body and how they impact our health.- The link between nutrition and public health.- How to develop strategies to improve food habits.- How to adjust diet to different clinical conditions.- What drives consumer eating habits and behaviours. You’ll blend academic and practical learning in our £3.5m state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. A work placement in the third year gives you real-life work experience and great networking opportunities for the future.This course is accredited by


the Association for Nutrition (AfN), the professional body for Registered Nutritionists

and aligned with the General Teaching Council (GTC) requirements for the PG Diploma in Home Economics teaching, if that’s your plan after graduation. It is ideal for secondary school leavers, entrants from further education colleges, and mature students. Abertay is the
