Course summary

Develop the knowledge, skills and understanding of business, operations and strategy to prepare you for a career in engineering and technology management. Combining the academic excellence and industrial networks from our outstanding School of Management and Faculty of Engineering and Design, our course builds your skills in leadership and management and teaches you how to apply them in an engineering context. You'll explore the impact of new technologies and how they relate to management in the engineering sector. Your studies will include business analysis, product development and supply chain management.

Project work challenges you to apply your learning and use analytical skills. You'll work in multidisciplinary teams with students who bring knowledge from a range of backgrounds.

Our course is delivered by the Faculty of Engineering & Design and School of Management. This collaborative approach bridges the gap between the two disciplines. You’ll learn from academics and industry professionals with expertise in engineering, innovation, management and business. Their research activities and industrial collaborations will enhance your learning experience. You'll also benefit from our links to business through guest lectures, site visits and opportunities to work with partner companies on research projects.

The skills you graduate with will help prepare you for the next step in an engineering or business career. You could work in engineering companies, technology consultancies, research agencies and other organisations worldwide.
