Course summary

An economics degree is ideal for you if you have a curious and questioning nature. You enjoy analysing numbers and at the same time youre fascinated by people and human behaviour. You might know exactly what career you want to go into – or you may know that an economics degree keeps your options open, possibly more than any other degree. Economics is a far broader subject than most people realise, and our BSc Economics degree enables you either to enjoy the full breadth of the discipline or to discover and develop your own area of personal interest. You'll explore all areas of the economy, from both microeconomic and macroeconomic perspectives. You'll learn to use economic models and real-world data to gain deep insights about business, governments and the world of finance. You may find your passion is for finance and investments, or behavioural economics and behavioural finance, or for competition policy, or for data analysis and programming, or for public-sector, labour, development and environmental economics or indeed, for any one of many other offered specialisms.
