The BA (Hons) Business & Marketing programme will provide you with the specialist skills and knowledge to excel as a marketing professional, giving you a competitive edge in the graduate employment market. Our Business & Marketing programme is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and offers a pathway towards CIM qualification in due course. UWS has links with local and national organisations and ensures that the teaching and assessment provided on this programme focuses on the marketing issues that impact businesses today. This will equip you with hands-on experience of applying critical thinking to solve challenges in the workplace. Programme Highlights You will develop effective communication skills and knowledge to prepare you for a wide range of traditional and digital business and marketing roles. The specialist marketing and business skills will help you stand out in a competitive job market. You’ll develop effective communication skills and knowledge to prepare you for a wide range of digital business and business and marketing roles. A focus on real industry issues will provide you with the practical experience to solve the business and marketing challenges faced by modern businesses. Graduates from this programme are well placed to pursue Chartered Marketer status through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). You will work with real companies to deliver business and marketing projects, putting knowledge into practice. Programme Details The BA (Hons) Business & Marketing programme allows you to tailor your studies to suit your career goals. Years 1 and 2 of the programme will develop your general and operational knowledge. Years 3 and 4 will deepen your knowledge of marketing principles, helping you develop managerial and strategic business and marketing knowledge. You will complete a dissertation research project on a topic of your choice. You can also choose to undertake a HEAR Award, where you’ll provide marketing support to businesses and increase your hands-on experience. Students have core business and marketing modules to study and have a wide selection of optional modules that they can choose to study too. Subjects include Introduction to Marketing, Marketing For a Better Future, Introducing People Management, Introduction to Accounting and Finance, Marketing Research Practice, Global Marketing, Digital Marketing and Analytics, Marketing Communications Mix, Contemporary Consumer Behaviour and many more. Careers Graduates from the BA (Hons) Business & Marketing programme have extensive knowledge of business and marketing techniques and an understanding of what makes a business environment successful. Graduates go on to secure roles in the areas of: Project director Sales promotion manager PR manager Product manager Marketing research specialist Marketing and business process manager Business development & marketing executive Digital marketing executive Social media manager
