Course summary

Combine practical with theoretical in this hands-on Biomedical Engineering course. The medical devices sector is fast-growing, and as medical science advances, biomedical engineers are even more in demand. Put your lab skills to use on hospital visits. Get hands-on with medical tech. Test biomaterials and medical devices, and learn practical skills like dissection to cement your knowledge of human anatomy and surgical conundrums. Like all our Engineering courses, Biomedical Engineering shares a common first year. So you can choose to switch to a different pathway in your second year if you want to. Gain real-world experience before you graduate with a placement year. The Humber is home to over 350 engineering companies, so you’ll be in a prime spot to access a range of placement opportunities.
