Course summary
Gain real-life experience in a youth work setting on our Youth Work & Community Practice Degree Apprenticeship. The course is professionally validated by the JNC (Joint Negotiating Committee).
Our Youth Work programmes link the theory of youth work, to the practical delivery. We also ensure you're up to date with policy, legislation, and best practice.
You'll learn from experienced, professional and passionate youth workers. They have recent real-life experience and are accomplished in their fields of research.
The course offers a variety of extra accreditations to support you in your future career including:
first aid
child sexual exploitation
five steps to risk assessment
safeguarding
Our students can also take part in a residential as part of the course at Coldwell activity centre in the Pennines. It is not only a fun experience that helps students bond and learn from each other, but teaches outdoor engagement skills that can be used when working with young people.
