Course summary
This course focuses on the significant issues of the day and how they impact on everyday life. Youll examine inequality, social injustice, terrorism, migration, democracy, and citizenship and media representation. Our Sociology for Social Justice learning approach means that you will work alongside real-world organisations tackling issues such as community cohesion and social exclusion.
Youll contribute to live research projects and have the opportunity to explore international sociological issues in destinations such as Bosnia and South Africa. You can also gain academic credit and professional experience through an internship in preparation for your career. When you graduate youll be well-prepared to make a difference to peoples lives.
Law
Explore the fundamental principles of law in England and Wales on a law degree designed to enable prospective lawyers to obtain the legal knowledge, skills and attributes needed to pursue a career in law, aligned with professional standards.
Youll take part in engaging and stimulating teaching through our interactive and challenging teaching sessions. Youll obtain knowledge and skills in key areas of the Law of England and Wales as well as gaining an insight into international law. You can also specialise in a range of subjects including family law, company law, intellectual property law and human rights depending on your area of interest.
