A BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance degree gives you the knowledge and skills you need to excel in a wide range of accountancy, business management and finance roles.
This course has been designed to incorporate internationally recognised skills from professional accounting and finance bodies, giving you a head start in qualifying as an accountant. Youll learn essential theory through taught academic study, as well as practical training in the use of accounting software. Youll also develop key analytical, report writing and further employability skills designed to help you to better adapt to the rapidly changing work environment.

This course has been designed to incorporate internationally recognised skills from professional accounting and finance bodies, giving you a head start in qualifying as an accountant.
All students have the opportunity to take an optional placement year, providing valuable workplace experience in an accounting or finance role.
The University of Wolverhampton partners with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in their Advantage programme, which provides final-year students an accelerated path to ACCA membership.
Professional body exemptions - The course provides the opportunity to gain exemptions for Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This can increase your employability as you will be a significant way towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.
Internships - Gain valuable work experience in an accounting and finance role with an internship. We offer the opportunity to take an internship (sandwich placement) as part of the programme of study. Youll receive full support in preparing and securing internships from our dedicated support team.
Study abroad - You can choose to undertake one semester or a full year to study our accounting and finance course abroad. Our Business School partners with several EU countries, giving you the opportunity to gain a professional accounting and finance qualification abroad as part of your programme of study.
